Mount Kenya is the quieter mountain, and for many walkers the better one. It is Africa's second highest at 5,199 metres, with an alpine landscape of tarns, giant lobelia and glacier-carved valleys that Kilimanjaro cannot match.

Point Lenana, at 4,985 metres, is the trekking summit and reachable by any fit walker. Batian and Nelion, the true peaks, are technical rock climbs requiring experience and equipment — our technical routes are for climbers, not trekkers.
Sirimon, Chogoria and Naro Moru each give the mountain a different character, and traverses that go up one and down another see the most of it. Naro Moru River Lodge is the usual base before and after.

Yes. Any itinerary we operate can be run for your own party in a private 4x4 Land Cruiser, including journeys otherwise sold as group-joining departures. A private departure is quoted separately from the listed price.
No. Properties are suggested for fit and current operation and confirmed on your written quotation. If one is unavailable for your dates we will propose a comparable property rather than substitute something lesser without telling you.
